Beginning on 15 Sept, 2011 a new versioning system has been implemented. Files produced before that date (see documentation) will not necessarily conform.
- Version updates designated with a letter indicate the addition of new functionality.
- Version updates designated with a dash and a number indicate the correction of an error inside the file.
For example, a file called NewParams11.dat has had no updates. If a typo is corrected, it will become NewParams11-1.dat. If new functionality is added, it will become NewParams11a.dat. If a typo is corrected in NewParams11a.dat it becomes NewParams11a-1.dat. In general, a letter update will include all corrections made as of its issue date.
